Supporting Fertility

At San Francisco Counseling Group, we support individuals and couple’s emotional and psychological journey as they face their own unique path to becoming parents. We strive to help them experience more balance, joy, peace, and acceptance as they face challenges and cope with stress. We offer a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment to understand and cope with difficult emotions and traumatic experiences from both the recent and distant past. Our work is also focused on enhancing the strengths of each person we work with, building upon them to increase resources, insight, self-awareness, peace and joy.

Through the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), CBT, Mindfulness training, and talk therapy we support you and your family through all phases of fertility treatment. From decision making and preparation through pregnancy and postpartum, we are here to help increase your resilience and ability to cope with both current stressors as well as past experiences.

We feel privileged to participate in your journey as you grow your family and pride ourselves on being active, engaging, collaborative practitioners with experience in treating anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family dynamics, and issues relating to parenting.

Taking the step to schedule therapy can sometimes feel like a big one. Let us help you find your way. Please email or call us at 415-691-7123 to schedule an appointment or set up a free consultation to answer any questions you may have. – Wendy Sue Horn, Clinical Social Work/Therapist , LCSW
